This information session has been designed to provide you with a brief overview of the dementia cafe.

- Sparking people’s interest in setting up/becoming involved in a Dementia Cafe

How to set up a Dementia Cafe Workshop

This workshop will provide you with the key information needed for setting up a Dementia Cafe. Find someone in your local community who might be interested in setting up a cafe and invite them to come along too or join by yourself. This workshop is designed for anyone actively interested in setting up a dementia cafe.

Virtual Dementia Cafe
The Dementia Cafe is open to people with dementia, their families, friends, healthcare professionals and anyone with an interest in dementia. It is a warm and welcoming environment. It is similar to the Alzheimer Café Donnybrook (for further information see www.alzheimercafe.ie) and involves a theme each week, with time for discussion.
The Virtual Dementia Café is part of Engaging Dementia’s establishment of a National Dementia Café Network. The project is funded by the National Dementia Office. The Virtual Dementia Café takes place every second Friday at 11am. People living with dementia, their families and friends, healthcare professionals, and people who are interested in supporting a dementia inclusive community, are all welcome to attend.
