Some dementia cafes run virtual dementia cafe meetings. Virtual cafes generally last an hour and have the same format as the regular cafe. They are easy to join and the café organiser can help if you are unfamiliar with online video chatting.
The Irish Dementia Cafe Network is directly hosts a monthly Virtual Dementia Café on the first Friday of each month at 11am. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to join.
We also run a monthly Rainbow Virtual Café on the last Friday of each month at 11am. This is a welcoming space for older persons within the LGBT+ community , as well as family supporters, healthcare workers and proactive allies. Our guest speakers are specialists in the LGBT+ community and we are delighted at the support we have received for this event.
